A group of nine men, ranging in age from 19 to 22, allegedly burglarized a church in Kensington last week.
A short time later, cops found them playing basketball:
A burglary occurred at the Church of Latter Day Saints, 10000 Stoneybrook Drive, Kensington on Tuesday, 8/28 at approximately 1:45 a.m. The suspects were located playing basketball.
Suspects: nine B/Ms, ages 19-22

A residential burglary occurred in the 5400 block of Uppingham Street, Chevy Chase sometime between 8/20 and 8/25. Forced entry; property taken.
An incident of graffiti occurred in the 4500 block of Chestnut Street, Bethesda overnight from Tuesday, 8/21 to Wednesday, 8/22.
Theft from vehicle, in the 7600 block of Bradley Boulevard on Wednesday, 8/22 between 10:40 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Forced entry; purses taken.
Theft from vehicle, in the 7800 block of Radnor Road sometime between Wednesday, 8/22 and Thursday, 8/23. A laptop was taken from an unsecured vehicle.
Graffiti was spray painted on a vehicle parked in the 3300 block of Wake Drive, Kensington overnight from Wednesday, 8/22 to Thursday 8/23.
Graffiti was spray painted in the 6100 block of Madawaska Road, Bethesda on Thursday, 8/23 at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Commercial burglary, at Chevy Chase Cars, 7725 Wisconsin Avenue on Friday, 8/24 at 12:06 A.M. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.
An aggravated assault occurred in the 7100 block of Loch Lomand Drive, Bethesda on Friday, 8/24 at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Commercial burglary, at Federal Business Services, 4340 East West Highway overnight from Friday, 8/24 to Saturday, 8/25. Forced entry; but nothing was reported missing.
Commercial burglary, at ESI, 4350 East West Highway on Monday, 8/27 at approximately 8:15 a.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.
Three incidents of graffiti were reported this week in the 5500 block of Northfield Road, Bethesda.
Four thefts from vehicles occurred in Chevy Chase this week during overnight hours. Three of the vehicles were entered by force; the fourth had been left unsecured. Two vehicles were searched with nothing reported taken; the other two reported that cash and an iPod were missing. Affected streets included: the 6900 block of Ridgewood Avenue, 4200 block of Rosemary Street and the 6100 block of Nevada Avenue.
