BlackFinn American Saloon (4901 Fairmont Ave.), the combination sports bar and late night dance spot in Woodmont Triangle, is kicking off the NFL season on Sept. 9 with a fundraiser and the Washington Redskins cheerleaders.

The “1st Annual Redskins Cheerleaders and NFL Kick-off Charity Event” will take place on the first Sunday of NFL games this season.

Customers who make donations to the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department (who will be on hand with firetrucks and its “Pipes and Drums” band) will get a wristband for drink specials.

Then, there are the cheerleaders:
Oh, did I mention that the Redskins Cheerleaders will be taking pictures and signing autographs for the whole 1st half of the Redskins vs Saints game! Plus a fullblown halftime show with the Pipes and Drums. As always DJ Mittens will be making an appearance in the DJ booth.
The Redskins, as indicated in the event announcement, open up their season on the road in New Orleans for a 1 p.m. start.
